Don’t feel nosey. I want to know, too!

While I know it can be easy to blame the impact of the pandemic on our dating life.

I need to mention it’s an excellent time to level up.

Don’t just sit there! If you want a healthy and strong relationship – step up your relationship goals and find the right partner.

5 Simple Steps To An Effective Relationship Goals Strategy

The term relationship didn’t originate only for dating. I read that a relationship is more than words. It’s an action that shows through each other how we encourage, love, laugh together and experience stages of life.

As someone seasoned in dating and relationships, I believed it was time to breathe a new life into my future relationship. So, by honouring the relationship goals, I’ve identified that saying I’m ready to have a partner/husband is important. It’s a robust response to our relationship life.

Hence, I’ve curated my advice on preparing for a long-term relationship.

Relationship Goals 1 – Invest In Your Mindset

Someone recently recommended reading this book. In the spirit of sharing, I want you to read it and build a better relationship. It’s been fascinating how a healthy mindset can equip you.

As I educate and uplift my mind, I’ve become a better person and mature enough to let the opposite sex in my life.

I advise practicing being a good listener, learning your worth, and clarifying why you want a relationship.

Trust me!

It will help you have a healthy, long-term relationship.

Relationship Goals 2 – Deal With Your Insecurities

I have been through so many emotions with my insecurities. It was always easy to feed my feelings instead of looking for ways to fix my insecurities.

Now, I don’t let my insecurities get in the way. That’s because I’ve learned to love myself for me. I view every insecurity as a chance to build character.

I encourage you to deal with your insecurities as early as possible. Don’t let fear stop you from seeking professional guidance. It was one of my most valuable decisions when talking to a therapist.

I never thought that the most vulnerable areas became my strength.

That said, take time to heal and work on your negative self-talk, doubts, and physical image. When you invest in fixing these things, you’ll feel more confident and be better than others.

Relationship Goals 3 – Fix Your Finance

I heard Tony Gaskin say, Don’t let your finances look broke, burst, and disgusting.”

It was a hilarious moment but a psychological warning to fix my finances.

I often joke that I want someone wealthy. Some people think it’s money, but I believe being rich is in your mind, spirit, and soul

But let’s go back to money.

I recommend you invest and spend your money wisely: pay off your debts, fund charity, and purchase timeless and valuable things. I’ve also been learning about stocks, shares, and property.

After all, going into a relationship is a blessing. I’ve stopped trying to be blessed and started being a blessing, which has given me more benefits and happiness.

Relationship Goals 4 – Write down the qualities you want in a partner

When transitioning from being single to a relationship, it is critical to have clarity. Besides, it would be best to have clarity before starting anything.

When going through the motions, asking myself the right questions brings peace and avoids blunders.

Improve your relationship with these few questions. And if there are more I should add to this list, share them in the comments below.

The right questions to ask about the qualities you want:

  •  What is the purpose of wanting a partner?
  • If you were in a relationship, ask yourself why you want to re-enter one and what did not work previously.
  • How do you want your relationship to look?
  • What value do you have to offer that person?
  • What are your strengths?

Regardless of your questions, having a plan and vision will inspire you when the turmoil comes.
