HOW TO RELIEVE STRESS AND ANXIETY

Everybody experiences stress, but nobody talks about it. Women are more likely to speak publicly about their stress than men. Regardless, we both need tips to relieve stress when we are overwhelmed. In fact, stress is harmful to our bodies and minds. When I’m stressed, it gives me an instant panic attack, headache and neckache. My neck is definitely that one place I carry my burden. It’s this pain that lets me know it’s time to calm down.

As a busy and ambitious woman, I’ve learned to find ways to chill out. Still, I often wait until the pain becomes excruciating. Only then do I seek a remedy to calm down. As a side thought, we try to be everything to everyone. Nonetheless, let’s be honest – we can’t be everything to everyone. So, without further ado, I shall share the best tips to relieve stress naturally.

WHAT HELPS TO RELIEVE STRESS NATURALLY

First things first: stress is not uncommon among women or men. According to research, 80 percent of people feel pressure daily. That’s the reason we need to understand what’s behind our triggers. The body often reacts negatively. Stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol, rush in. They shut down our systems. This harms our bodies and minds.

These hormones affect the thyroid role (T3 and T4). Insulin, estrogen, and progesterone emotionally interfere with our ability to operate effectively. Emotional triggers are a big one for me. That’s why I learned to be intuitive (inner happiness) and set out better wellness boosters through natural rituals.

7 TIPS TO RELIEVE STRESS

Relieve stress using an Adaptogen

This natural ritual uses adaptogen herbs in your diet to reduce stress. It was introduced to me after an acupuncture appointment. Adaptogen is a traditional Chinese herbal remedy that helps the body cope with physical and mental triggers. It can support your hormones and reduce inflammation, stress, and mood-related issues.

There are a few to choose from: holy basil, pearl powder and ashwagandha. Ashwagandha is my favorite pick. I struggle with focus, so this helps boost me to get off to work again. It also helps keep me calm and lower my stress. If you want to add it to your food ritual, do your homework and see which one works for you.

Here is a list of adaptogens to choose:

The best relief of stress with exercising

how to cope with stress

This ritual is not a cliché; It’s my life! I personally don’t know how to function without exercise. Although we know the science behind workouts, we still fail to stick to it.

Exercise is a way to amp up my overall health. It lowers my stress and tension in my body. So that’s why I don’t look at exercise only as a way to lose weight. Preferably, I use it to support my mind, relieve stress and muscle tightness. When my stress level is high, I’ll find something I love. I choose barre, spin class, or dancing. Pilate or a simple walk are also options. I leave these workouts feeling stress-free. Exercise is an important part of stress management. I hope this post will encourage you to try it and keep at it!

How to relieve stress and be happy

Laughter is free! And it comes naturally. As the saying goes, laughter is the best medicine. My doctor also reinforced this saying. They reminded me that when I laugh, my cortisol levels drop. It also opens the chest for more oxygen. Hence, find something to fill your belly and let the humor out.
