HOW TO FEEL YOUR ABSOLUTE BEST YOUR DISCOURAGEMENT

Are you carrying a situation that you would never have chosen for yourself? Are you discouraged? Here’s something we can both agree on because these questions are playing in my head. So, let’s soar together.

“Oh Discouragement, Oh Discouragement, why did you keep me up, why are you making me weary. My mind feels crushed; my soul feels drained.

Why did discouragement knock on my door? As a servant of God, I often get tempted to quit. But I’ve learned that discouragement is only for a season. Regardless of how I’m feeling, I know I can put my trust and burden on the Lord.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest”

MATTHEW 11:28

The verse illustrates God’s heart for us. I know the Lord can carry the burdens He has prepared for us. I’m sure He knew there would be this season in our lives.

Therefore, when my burdens are heavy, I press forward and dance my way to the Father’s heart. I allow him to create the beats, rhythm, melody, and lyrics that will help me overcome my discouragement.

DANCING

Here’s how I interpret discouragement. I dance! I dance until I crush the weariness and the burdens into WINE. This song was given to me from the father’s heart.

“Come to me, Come to me, I will restore that empty barrel, I will pour back into you what has been drawn out. But, my child you have to tell discouragement, you will not QUIT!” Now let’s dance.

JOURNAL

Over the years, I’ve learned that discouragement is seasonal and will not last forever. Nevertheless, I love Ecclesiastes 3; it’s the perfect reflection of how everything has a time. So, here is how I wrote it to speak to me.

Dear Everything, I want to let you know there is a time and season for you. I know I was born with a purpose and will leave an inheritance. So, I will plant my harvest to uproot. Therefore, don’t try to kill my precious time because I will tear you down and build my vision. While I cry now due to my overwhelmed heart, joy and laughter surely come in the morning.

Discouragement

UNDERSTAND THE PROCESS

Trust the process and stick with Jesus. I try not to get impatient because God has called me, and he will make everything right. We have to trust him because he does not give us more than we are capable of bearing. Also, he provides us with more than what is causing the worry. Undoubtedly, I have to say his timing is divine!

Now, it’s not a simple process! Even as I write this post, I’m facing discouragement at its highest peak. I’m weary, impatient, anxious, and frustrated. I want things to improve, but it seems to be taking longer.

Nevertheless, I’m after the father’s heart, so QUIT is not in my vocabulary.

And guess what? It should not be in yours, either. Instead, take that discouragement in prayer.

Prayer is my safe place. It’s the only place I can go and feel comforted, free, happy, loved, and refilled. In other words, I push through and persevere, knowing that God has curated beautiful treasures in secret places for me.

Now, you’re thinking about how to avoid discouragement before it overwhelms you.

The answer is crowdsourcing the BIBLE.

It’s the best book I’ve read! Let me clarify; I would have recommended another book or a person, but that too has caused some discouragement. So I’ve decided to stick with the one that gives the best result.

I hope my story of discouragement comforts you in times of discouragement. Thank you for reading my faith & inspiration here!
