3 Things You Need to Do To Practice Self Love

It’s hard to imagine growing and feeling confident without the practice self love kit. It was definitely the year 2020 when I was at my lowest. Because of the pandemic and other hardships, I had to flip my practice of self-love. Now, I’ve never mistreated myself and others, but there was room for modification.

I don’t think I’ve ever wanted to mistreat anyone or myself because I didn’t understand that love is one of the highest gifts you can give yourself. It sometimes reflects how much you love yourself. As the command in Mark 12:31 tells us, “You shall love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

So, you can see today’s forecast: 100% pour a self-love to-do list for that mood boost and confidence you have been seeking.

Before I get started on my self-love to-do, I definitely need to tell you that practicing self-love has changed my life.

The dictionary defines self-love as one’s well-being and happiness. From this, you control your well-being and happiness. When you feel your best, it inspires you to smile and delight in things that renew, strengthen and guide you on the right path. Therefore, I would step back and recognize what you need to flourish in life and to be the best you can be for yourself and others.

I shadow my psychology knowledge, daily practice, reading and spiritual wisdom to practice self love. I also value putting myself first because it helps me grow and build a better character. So, my goal is to share my self-love habits to help you become the best version of yourself.

Embrace a self love ritual

If you want to nourish yourself, embrace a daily self-love ritual. Your self-love ritual lets you create a quality environment for your life. So when you are lethargic, start reflecting on the things you don’t like, your insecurities, your habits, then ask yourself what can make you a better person. The stuff I practice for you to consider is: 

  1. Start buying flowers for yourself regularly.
  2. A luxury evening shower/bath routine.
  3. Take solo time for yourself (travel, date night, a spa time, nap, block out reading time are a few things to do)
  4. Have a good sleep habit – stop hitting snooze
  5. Keep a healthy relationship with food that nourishes your body and makes you feel good. 

Finding new things that are good for you

I’m much more reticent, but my chiropractor alluded to doing new things at least once a month. I also love that this creates a lot of room to delve into my confidence. I tried to learn a new skill yesterday. If you are going to take on this self-love practice, here are things I intend to dig more into this year.

  1. Reinventing my style (let me know if you want to know more details in the comment section below)
  2. Learning to ski
  3. Adding new hobbies (Learning a musical instrument, language – I recently started back French and don’t know why I stopped swimming and jumping back into tennis. 
  4. Explore adventurous travel (forests, mountains, valleys, and hiking).

Good gifts for yourself are essential for loving yourself. I bought things that might make me feel much better about myself. Sometimes it’s a simple candle that boosts my day. (That candle smells incredible.
